Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Avanos Ceramic Application and Research Center (ASEM) was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 4 December 2014 and numbered 29195.
GOAL
Providing the technical, technological and artistic support needed by the region, which is an important center in the field of ceramics, contributing to education and training and producing.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY
a) To provide consultancy services to the public and private sector, national and international organizations and individuals in the field of ceramics.
b) To carry out scientific research, examination, project, application and nationalization at national and international level, to provide opinions, to prepare reports, to cooperate by providing consultancy services, to carry out projects and similar works, to participate and encourage such studies, to update the ceramic industry in the region keep.
c) To organize courses, certificate programs, seminars, conferences, congresses, workshops, symposiums, panels, training and development programs in the fields they need for the public and private sector, national and international organizations and people in the fields of ceramics and arts, to ensure the coordination of these activities, To promote such activities by promoting university facilities.
ç) To organize applied training courses in the fields of ceramics and arts and to give documents or certificates to those who successfully complete these courses according to the characteristics of the program.
d) To benefit from the laboratory, library, smart classroom, classroom, net-classroom and other educational opportunities of all units of the University in matters related to the field of study.
e) To benefit from the red and white clay beds in the region; To produce and sell products by preparing mud and glaze recipes.
f) To produce technological knowledge, to use alternative firing techniques.
g) To provide private sector-industry-school-university cooperation.

h) To contribute to the development of the region in the ceramic industry.
ı) To cooperate with academics, designers and pottery masters in the field of art and engineering.
i) To produce ceramic promotional products with continuity for the university.
